Pineland Farms

This past weekend we went to Pineland Farms in New Glouster. It is a 5000 acre working farm that used to be a mental hospital. The farm has cows and sheep and horses. They make their own cheeses and grow fruits, vegetables and herbs. There are several multi-purpose trails for hiking and biking in warm weather and skiing and snowshoeing in winter.

We only spent a couple of hours there and did a short hike, but it was a really nice place. We can't wait to spend more time there.

Looks like fun! Do they have a little farmers market, it would be fun to try their cheese and stuff.

Yes...you can buy the foods they produce and they have a cafe that serves soups and sandwiches and ice cream.
