Our next stop was Cape Elizabeth Lighthouse. It is located not far from Portland Head lighthouse. Cape Elizabeth is not a working lighthouse though. It was the first lighthouse to be featured on a postal stamp. The beach around it is rocky and it looks like it is fossilized wood. And alot of the wood/rocks have this orangey algae on them. There are also these little paths that are covered with all kinds of flowers. It was an interesting mix of scenery. We tried to see more beaches along the way but they were State Parks and charged for parking. We'll save those for another day.
